AUTOMOBILE RADIATOR
Water flows through the engines of most cars to prevent overheating. When hot water comes from the engine it must be cooled down and sent back to the engine. The water is cooled with a radiator that is located in the front of the car, just inside the front grill. As the hot water flows through small tubes in the radiator, the heat is conducted through the metal of the tubes and is carried away by the air. A fan pulls air though the radiator when a car is not moving.
WITH ADULT ASSISTANCE: Lift the hood and check the water level in an automobile radiator and add more water if necessary.
